Category: Czech Republic
The Czech Republic is a Central European nation that is typically divided into three distinct land regions – Bohemia, Moravia, and Silesia.
Prague (Praha) is the largest city, and the capital city of the country.
Prague is definitely worth visiting, despite its recent Disneyfication to pander to its ever-growing tourist industry, and it is where I call home and outside of the historical center it is still a functioning city with such a rich tapestry of culture and history.
If you wish to pay the equivalent of US$10 for an inferior type of Czech beer, you should head to Prague’s city center.
If, however, you would prefer to pay around US$2 for the good stuff, I highly recommend leaving the metropolis and visiting its smaller cities and countryside.
The official title of the Czech Republic is ‘Czechia’ and it hasn’t been referred to as ‘Czechoslovakia’ since 1992.
